Welcome, and thanks a lot for visiting my website. Let me first introduce myself. My name is Rob Hendriks, I am 32 years old and I am born and raised in Veghel, The Netherlands.
I'm a military aviation enthusiast and photographer since 1985. It all started during the early 80's when my dad took me to Volkel AB almost every wednesday afternoon to see the F-104 Starfighter. Unfortunately I was too young at that moment to write down numbers or to take pictures. This all started the during the early 90's.
During the late 90's aircraft spotting became more than a hobby for me. It actually became part of my job. Since late 1998 I have been working for the Royal Netherlands Air Force with Air Traffic Control at Volkel AB. I think it's every spotters dream to have a job like this. In the beginning of 2005 I was transfered to AOCS Nieuw Milligen to work with Air Traffic Control at Rapcon South. After doing this for about two years I left Nieuw Milligen again as I wanted a job closer to home and I wanted to see the aircraft again. Since January 1st 2007 I work as an Air Traffic Controller in the control tower at Eindhoven AB. This base is combined civil and military which makes it even more interesting as we have lots of flying activity over here.
Most of you will probably know me from another website: Danger Zone. After more than 140.000 visits I decided to shut down the website due to the high costs and lots of maintenance problems. Now I'm back and really proud to present my new website: fly-by.nl. At this website you'll find photo reports of airshows, base visits, spottersdays and tours from around the world. Thanks for visiting and don't forget to come back later... |
