Static Display,  17-20 June 2009

Just like every Openday at Volkel AB in the past the static display of this years Luchtmachtdagen was very well positioned. Hardly any stuff on or around the aircraft, the fence not too close, and the aircraft not parked too close to each other. This made it possible to take some very nice shots of the static display. Most of the shots you'll find below are taken during Day 1 of the Luchtmachtdagen. The weather during that day was perfect for taking static shots, nice sunny weather with some very scary clouds on the background.

As you can see below I also tried some artistic stuff on the DC-2 shot as well. I'm pretty happy with the result. Some of my personal highlights of this years static display were the Slovak Air Force Albatross, the Austrian Saab 105s, and of course the very impressive F-16D of the Hellenic Air Force.
