Miscellaneous - Flying Display  &  Static Display

After a very disappointing start of the day, due to the bad weather, the first pass of the mighty C-17 really made my day. After this nice banking turn over the runway it landed very shortly, and took off not much later in a very steep climb. Another very nice highlight of the flying display was the water drop of the Austrian PC-6. To be honest I didn't even know these birds were capable of doing this.

The static display was just like last year very good. However it is always hard to take good shots of it. The real highlight of this years Kecskemét Airshow should have been a Croatian MiG-21 which was on the participation list some weeks prior the show. Unfortunately this one disappeared from the list. The participation of the Croatian Mi-171Sh was my personal highlight on the static show as it was the first time I saw one. It was very nice to see the former Hungarian Air Force aircraft on the static display, like the Su-22, MiG-21's and Mig-23. They even pulled some helicopters from the museum at Szolnok. Well done!!
