No fewer then four aerobatic teams were present at this years
airshow at Kecskemét. Some of them are really well known to the
public and some of them are still in the beginning phase. The
Croatian Aerobatic Team 'Wings of Storm' flying with five PC-9's
honored their name as the weather was pretty bad during their
display, just like last year.
The civil Serbian Aerobatic Team 'The Stars' made their debut last
year at Kecskemét with only four jets. This year they came back with
five Yugoslav built G-2 Galebs and put down a really nice show late
in the morning.
Both the 'Turkish Stars' and the 'Frecce Tricolori' are more common
at airshows in western Europe. The eight former Dutch NF-5's of the
Turkish Air Force performed their nice display in the early
afternoon when the sun finally came through.
Maybe it sounds strange as I saw them at least 40 times by now, but
the highlight of the aerobatic teams for me was the flying display
of the Italian Air Force team 'Frecce Tricolori' with their ten
MB.339's. Finally I took some good shots of them in nice sunny
weather. |
