Flying Display

In the morning the weather at Fairford was pretty cloudy, this was when we were waiting for a new bus to arrive. Unfortunately we missed some pretty good shows because all of this. So no pictures of the Swiss F/A-18 Hornet display, Slovenian PC-9 or one of the last flights of the mighty Canberra.

One of the highlights of this years airshow at RAF Fairford for me was the MV-22B Osprey. Last year when I visited the US I saw some of these at MCAS New River, but I couldn't take pictures of one flying. So this was a very nice chance to make some awesome shots of this awesome plane/heli. As usual the B-1 take off was very impressive however the fly-by of the B-1 and B-52 were way to high to take decent pictures of them. .

Two years ago I thought I really saw everything, when I saw the F/A-18F display at RAF Fairford. After the MiG-29OVT display I know for sure I really saw everything. This was really the best flight demonstration I ever saw. My mouth really fell open when I saw this jet hanging still in the air during the tail slide.
