Static Display

One of the biggest disappointments of this years RIAT was the static display. Besides the fact that it's really hard to take good pictures of the aircraft, it was also very small. I know it's not fare to compare it with for instance the IAT of 1994 where no less than forty C-130's were parked on the static display, but this years static was very small.

Not only a lot of RAF squadrons and types were missing this year, but also a lot of different airforces, like the Italians. Despite that all, there were some highlights on the static display, like the Royal Malaysian Air Force CN-235 and the Pakistan Air Force C-130 Hercules.

Near the end of the flying display Angèl and I walked over the static display to take our shots. When we were done here, and walked back to the bus we were able to take some nice shots of the aircraft parked at the flightline. Especially the four Typhoons parked here got some very nice sunlight on them.
