As it was Easter-Monday we had a day off from work. So Angèl and I
planned to visit Amsterdam-Schiphol to see the Boeing 747 of the
Japanese Air Self Defense Force. Around 13.30 o'clock it landed on
runway 18R and taxied towards it's parking spot at Y71.
Unfortunately it was very had to find the perfect spot to take
pictures of it, but we managed to take some from various positions.
The weather was fantastic throughout the day as you can see.
The Japanese
Air Self Defense Force operates two Boeing 747s which belong to the
701 Hikotai / Tokubetu Koku Yusotai stationed at Chitose AB. Both
are used as VIP transport for either Emperor Akihito or the Japanese
prime minister.
After the highlight of the day we drove towards the very busy
spotter area along runway 24/06. Here we took some nice take off
shots of some civil airliners. Although I'm not really interested in
civil aircraft, it's always nice to take some pictures of it. So
here a rare sight on my website: pictures of civil airliners!! |
