Dekéleía-Tatoíou,  16 September 2005

When we left Elefsína it was already half past two so we decided to skip Tanágra for this day and drove towards Dekéleía-Tatoíou. Unfortunately we got stuck in a traffic jam so it took us almost two hours to get there.

At the gate we again asked permission to take some pictures of their aircraft. This was no problem at all, so after a small passport check we entered the base. However when we drove towards the flightline, they made us stop at the Hellininki Aeroporio Mousion. We where not allowed to take pictures of the T-41D's on the ramp, but only of the aircraft displayed in the museum.

This was a little disappointing and after a short stay at the museum we drove back towards the gate. Dekéleía-Tatoíou is a very open field, and from a road parallel to the runway we read almost all the T-41D's (including the one that crashed a day later), PZL M-18's, AgCats and the Coast Guard aircraft. From here we drove towards Chalkída, where we already booked a hotel for the night.
