Just like the
arrival days I had to work during both KLu Opendays this year. It is
always a nice experience to see the flying display from another
point of view. During both day I was able to leave the local control
bunker of a short while to take some shots of the static display and
the flying display.
The first day
began with the arrival of two F-16s from the Italian base Trapani.
The weather during this first day was very unstable. This resulted
in some very heavy rain showers during the afternoon.
During the
second day, the weather was much better, which resulted in some nice
sunny shots. One of the highlights of the flying display this year
was the participation of the Swiss AF aerobatic team operating the
Pilatus PC-7. Their some began with a nice fly-by together with a
Swiss F/A-18 Hornet.
As you will
see below I added some sepia to some of the shots of the historical
planes like the Mitchell and the Dakota. |
