Łask,  27/28 April 2000

Three hours after we left Poznań-Krzesziny we arrived at a nice spot close to the landing at Łask. We were finally lucky this time, because they were flying with six Fishbeds and a TS-11. Mission Accomplished!! After they all landed we drove to the city to find a hotel and a place to eat. We had dinner at a pizzeria and when we drove to our hotel, we suddenly heard some MiG-21s taking off. We decided to go to the same spot as before and watched the night flying at Łask. What an awesome experience!

The next day we were unlucky again. Again no flying activities during our base visit. Just like at Poznań-Krzesziny they also had a small static display. And just like the other visits that week we had to ask for more. Again this helped and they decided to taxi with a MiG-21. Later we were allowed to go to the other side of the base where lots of Fishbeds were parked. Around two o’clock we left the base and drove back home. Two hours later we were close to Oleśnica were lots of Fishbeds and other Polish aircraft are parked for instructional purposes. Unfortunately the driver didn’t want to stop here to have a quick look. Thanks! Not!!
